A Relaxing Easter

The boys right before church. I wish we had gotten a family pic. Oh well.

Easter at the Fessler house this year was relaxing. There was not a lot of fuss or stress. There was no stress over what to wear, which was so nice. Boys are easy. A pair of shorts and a golf shirt.
Of course the boys got an Easter basket, but we did not spend a lot of money or worry over what to put in them. We ate a pot-luck lunch after church and then came home for an Easter egg hunt with Will. No stress! Mike told Will and Luke the Easter story and then we ate leftovers from the pot-luck for dinner. It was low-key which was nice. We were able to focus on our little family and just how important Easter is to us. So nice!

Fun with Family

Aunt Jo-Jo and the boys

Over the past month and a half, we have had the chance to have some good quality time with our parents. Our boys adore their grandparents and we do our best to see them when we can. In March we went home to Atlanta to celebrate our nephew Caleb's 2nd birthday. While there, we were able to see Mike's whole family, including a surprise visit from Uncle Andrew.

Getting a picture of the 3 cousins was tricky!

Mimi and Poppy also came to our house for a couple of days over their Spring Break. We had a great time! We visited Charlestown Landing which we found out was minutes from our house and has a ton of things to do. Will enjoyed the little zoo and the replica of the ship. I can see us going back!

Beach Season!

It is officially beach season! And let me tell you, the Fessler household is excited! Mike and I have always been beach people. We prefer flip-flops to actual shoes and are content to just sit and be peaceful at the edge of the ocean. Its funny how even our kids show the same kind of attitude. Will is in heaven when he gets to the beach and Luke loves it too. Today was our first family beach outing of the season. We went to Kiawah Island, which was a change, we normally go to Folly Beach. Will played in the water for a little while, but enjoyed playing in the sand with his brother. This was nice, because it actually gave Mike and I the chance to sit and relax. We are looking forward to many more beach days this year!

Luke ate more sand than anything!
We took a little outing last Thursday evening to Folly Beach. The boys enjoyed being out there even though the weren't in their trunks!

Good friends and neighbors

The Corlis Drive gang~Caia, Will, Jack and McKenna

We are blessed to live two doors down from dear friends, who happen to also be on staff at River Church. We watch each other's kids, loan cups of sugar, have impromptu play dates and enjoy mid-morning phone calls just to chat. Will adores their kids and considers them his best friends. I don't think a day goes by that Will doesn't ask about Jack, McKenna or Caia! The other night both of our families had the chance to get together away from home. I just happen to have my camera to take some pictures of these sweet friends!
