Luke at 4 months!!

What! How can my baby be 4 months old! This little boy is growing so fast! Here is a little update on our little chunky monkey!
*He is rolling over all the time. If you lay him down, he will be on his tummy in a few seconds.
*He likes sucking on his hands and is starting to find his feet to play with.
*He has the best smile and the cutest laugh!
*He loves the bathtub! You will get wet if you are bathing him!
*He loves to be held. He is not as content to be put down like he used to be.
*He likes to be walked when you are holding him. He doesn't really care to sit down.
*He likes sleeping right next to mommy, just like his brother!! He does sleep in his bed, he just prefers to be with me.
*He is wearing a size 3 diaper and 3-6 month clothes.
*He is super sweet!

Thankful

I try to reflect daily on all the things for which I am thankful. I praise God every day and thank him for the provisions and gifts that he has blessed my family with. This past year alone, He has shown up in such a huge way. He has provided us with a nice home to live in, renter's to live in our old home, a job to help make ends meet, food in our pantry every week, clothes to wear, cars to drive and good health. He has blessed us with a once-in-a lifetime opportunity to truly follow Him. He has given us an awesome church family and a sense of community that we have never known. He has given us close friendships. He has given us a family who loves and supports us. He has given me a loving husband and 2 wonderful little boys. God is good! For this, I am thankful!

Give thanks to the Lord, His love endures forever...Psalm 18:1

Halloween 2010

I'm a few days late with this post, but better late than never. This year we did Halloween "community style" and it was so much fun! We went with a bunch of friends and their kids from church, there must have been 40 of us overall. To say we overwhelmed a few homeowners would be an understatement!
The whole crew of kids minus a football(Luke)and Baby Gaga.
Will checking out some oh his stash.
Luke with the stash of candy. Notice the 1 piece of candy that Will said Luke could have!

Our Halloween was even more special when Luke decided to roll over for the first time. Oh my, he is growing up too fast!

Chattanooga Choo-Choo

The next stop on our trip was to Marmie and Poppy's house. We got to have family dinner with my side of the family on Sunday evening. We also got to spend time with Oma, my Gran. We had fun just hanging out with my family. On Tuesday, my parents and Mike and I took the boys to the Choo-Choo. Will was in heaven! He LOVES trains and to get to see real trains was so cool to him. We also went into the model train museum. Will was fascinated and we stayed there for at least an hour.

While we were there we also got some pre-Halloween pictures. Will is going to be a UGA football player and Luke is going to be a football.

We had so much fun hanging out with family and look forward to our next trip home!

Pumpkin trip 2010

Last week we had the chance to go home and see our families. We had so much fun! Our first stop was to see Mimi and Poppy in Atlanta. While we were there we went to Elijay, GA for the annual Fessler family pumpkin trip. It was a beautiful day, sunny and 80. We went to Amicalola Falls for a picnic lunch, hiked over to see the falls and just enjoyed being outside.

After lunch and the hike we went to Burt's Farm to pick out some pumpkins. I love going here! It has such a great fall atmosphere! It smells like fall, with all the pies and bread they have for sale. And it looks like fall with the thousands of pumpkins and gourds they have to choose from. Will had fun this year running through all the pumpkins. He got to pick a pumpkin for himself and then even picked one out for Luke.

After we got our pumpkins, we went to Reese Apple House for fried apple pies and apple cider. We finished our day with a visit to a corn maze and our annual dinner at Cracker Barrel. We had a great time as always, but the best part was spending time with family.

Happy Babies

This little guy smiles all the time!

I don't want to jinx ourselves, but we have two little boys who have started to figure out how to sleep at our house.
Will has never been a sleeper. He was the kid that would scream for 3 hours in his crib without falling alseep. We rocked him for hours on end to try and get him to sleep. Sometimes it worked, but sometimes it wouldn't, so we. would give up and let him sleep with us so we could get some sleep.
And then we had the period where Will would get up in the middle of the night and come to our bed. It was almost like he felt more comfortable in between both of us. But now we seem to have turned a corner, and Will is letting us put him down in his bed and leave while he falls asleep by himself. And he is staying in his bed until morning!
Luke on the other hand, has had a handle on sleeping since he was born. He is already sleeping in his crib, and has been since he was a month and a half old. He will go between 4 and 5 hours every night before waking up. It's funny how different two kids can be.
But we can tell that more sleep is making happier babies, which in turn is making happier parents.

Beach day!

Luke enjoying the beach!

Friday we went to the beach for the first time in 3 months, which was special because it was Luke's first time. It was cloudy and had just stormed before we got there. That made it nice and cool and allowed us to have the beach to ourselves. Will had a blast running up and down the beach and playing in the tide pools. Mike and I got a workout between playing with Will and pushing Luke in the stroller. And Luke, well, I guess he enjoyed it. He slept right through it! It was fun, and as I told Mike later, a perfect family day!

Will after we told him that we were going to the beach. He had reserved excitement!
